2009:

After being involved in the restoration of the Historic S&W Cafeteria exterior and interior, DIA was commissioned to complete the buildout and to place a full functioning restaurant and banquet facility.

The challenges included placing kitchens, restrooms, and a labyrinth of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems into this building and making them fit without altering the historic character, and within the tight ceiling clearances that were never planned for such utilities.

The design solution successfully incorporated all elements in a seamless fashion, allowing for a complex modern food and drink service operation on 3 levels, for what becomes the S&W Grand Cafe.
